​The comprehensive diagnostic literacy assessment is provided as a standalone service. There is no requirement for further sessions to be purchased. Families may, at their request, be added to the wait-list if Nicole feels they would be a good fit for services.

For adult caregivers & tutors who want to learn more about how to help their learner improve their reading skills and don't know where to begin.

An initial assessment is required before booking a mentoring session to ensure families are provided information that is customized to their child.
Resources are provided. Grown-ups will need to purchase or locate some items for home lessons to be optimally effective.

Families and tutors who choose to purchase the UFLI Foundations manual can be supported to implement UFLI Foundations lessons, but this is not mandatory. (Nicole is a UFLI-trained facilitator for the Foundations program.)

For home lessons to be an effective use of your time and financial investment, a minimum of 3 training sessions is required. Families have indicated that 4 sessions seemed to be the right amount. (There is a LOT of information that you need in order to do this well.) These can be combined into two longer sessions on request.
WordWise Policies

Payment must be received before the start of each session or package by e-transfer.

Packages may be paid in full or in installments. Payment details will be provided on inquiry.

Services are non-refundable.

Session packages expire two weeks past the scheduled end date.
(E.g.: A 6-week package expires 8 weeks after the student's first session. All sessions must be used in that time frame.) -
Twenty-four hours notice is required to cancel. The time of your session is reserved especially for you, and usually cannot be filled by another student. Unless 24-hour notice is received, the cancelled session will be removed from your package. We allow for one emergency cancellation at no charge per 4+ week package.

If your child is sick but does not want to cancel, an online session may be offered at their scheduled time.
